Mizu Uchiwa, Water Fan
Mizu Uchiwa, water fans, were created as part of Gifu Prefectures’ river culture. These fans are made from ribs of split bamboo, covered in the thinnest, finest ganpi-shi paper and a coating of natural varnish. The beauty of the decoration is also an attractive feature.
OBOERU COLLECTION
“OBOERU COLLECTION” was designed by renown British designer Sebastian Conlan and exhibited at the world ’s largest international trade fair, the “Maison & Objet”. This custom-made product has been hand-bound with artisan crafted Mino Japanese Washi paper before being machine-patterned.
Maaru Series
Enjoy a rich life by incorporating traditional crafts. This product was developed with the concept of “becoming familiar with Hon-Mino-shi paper”. A unique feature of this paper is that it assumes a soft, pleasing downy-like texture the more it is used.
WASHI dECO
Enjoy this range of Gifu Prefecture hand-made Japanese paper window art accessories. Taking advantage of the flexible and soft characteristics of Mino Washi, these products can be easily applied to a glass bases, such as candle holders, window glass etc. without wrinkling.
Simply dampen with a mist sprayer and they won’t peel off even after drying. They can be reused if properly dried, gently peeled off and safely stored.
Washi Table lamp
This lighting uses Japanese paper for its shade, which is handmade by members of the Hon Mino Paper Preservation Society using a technique registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
It can be used by connecting to a 5V USB-A type adapter or connecting to a PC's USB terminal.
In addition to ON/OFF, you can also control 10-step dimming and blinking using the included wireless remote control.
